The Dragon Series was designed to perform at the highest level of competition. Two versions of the Dragon series engines are currently available.

• D3, 3 port 2.11cc EFRA Legal

• D5, 5 port 2.11cc Outlaw

The Dragon Series is the perfect power plant for any demanding Nitro touring car racer. Reasonably priced without compromising performance you simply cannot go wrong with these new STS engines.

 

 

Crankcase:

 

The STS .12 crankcase was specially designed internally, and externally to offer optimal cooling efficiency while keeping weight at a minimum. As you can see in the following photos extra fins have been added to allow an optimal cooling effect.

 

 

 

 

Carburetor:

The STS 2.11cc 3-needle slide-carburetor is designed with extreme precision in order to obtain maximum performance from our engine. Tuning the motor is done with ease due to its rock solid reliability, and accessible needle placement. Carburetor size for the D3 is 5.5mm, while the D5 is fitted with the 6.5mm version.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Piston/Conrod/Sleeve:

The C.N.C. machined piston is made with highest-grade alloys and it fits with precision in the sleeve obtaining superior performance.
The connecting rod is manufactured from high quality aluminum (7075-T6 hardened). Its aerodynamic design maximizes internal gas flow. Special grooves are built in for maximum lubrication and reliable performance. ABC type sleeve is subjected to a high quality chrome coating technology which achieves higher performance and extended engine life.

Crankshaft:

Newly designed crankshaft was developed considering best gas flow and balance. It is made from SUJ2 Bearing Steel maintaining superior quality and strength.

Heat sink:

Redesigned multi-layer and grounded contact surface with head button allows efficient heat dissipation. Made from high-density alloy for maximum cooling.
